Good Times

Who can believe that the year is over already?

As I sat before my laptop composing an e-mail to the @US LCPs, the implications of this election really hit me - in less than 2 months I will no longer be LCP. No more Sunday EB meetings for me. No more GM presentations. No more late night AIESEC binging (binging = e-mails, planning, myaiesec.net surfing, etc.). No more.

In the midst of my anxiety attack, I got to the point where I announce who will replace me, and my anxiety disappeared.

Erin Conwell. Her unyielding passion for the core mission and values of AIESEC have helped revive @Miami during its darkest days. If I could temporarily suspend the democratic processes of AIESEC (trust me, I have been tempted many times) there is no one else I would choose.

Furthermore, she has a stellar EB to back her up: Alyson Budd, Mason Klein, Eric Lanman, Ashley Leonard, and Kate O'Brien.

@Miami has the potential to do great things in 2009, and I cannot imagine a better EB to serve the LC in this endeavor.

Sincerely yours,

Michelle Fakler
Outgoing LCP, @Miami

(50 days and counting...)

Join the NFT club with me. Or better yet, take on a committee position!
